Hello, this is our first time coming to wdw. It will be me and my husband and our two daughters (20-17). I am just wondering if the dining plan saves you money or not?

Howdy Terri!  This is a great question and one that has been asked and analyzed by many!

One of my fellow panelists reviewed the plans and found that you can save $1-$2 with the Quick Service Dining Plan, around $38 with the Dining Plan and approximately $86 with the Deluxe Dining Plan.  However, please look at each plan and ensure that they match your dining habits.  For example, the Table-Service meals on the Disney Dining Plan include an entree, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage (or buffet).  If you typically order appetizers and skip dessert, the plan may not give you the overall savings.

Whether the Dining Plans provide a savings or not, one of the things I like the most about them is that they allow me to spread out the overall cost of my vacation because they are purchased in advance.

I know all of this is a bit overwhelming but I am so glad you are looking at all of your options prior to your trip.  Please let me know if you have any further questions regarding the Dining Plans (or anything else) as you plan your trip.  I would love to help you add some pixie dust to your 1st magical Walt Disney World vacation!
