Hi, this is the first time coming to Disneyland for all of us. We have a group of 4 adults and 2 toddlers age 13-16months, our dates are 10/17-10/20 and we were wondering how should we set up our dining reservations? Do we just say 4 guests or 6 guests?

    Hi there, Brandy!

Welcome, and thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your Disneyland Resort question. I hope you’re enjoying making all the preparations for a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!

Yes, it’s best to include your two little ones in the headcount when making reservations for Character Dining or any other table-service restaurant at the Disneyland Resort, especially if the children will be seated in highchairs. Guests under the age of 3 eat for free when sharing from an adult's plate at Character Dining and all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet locations, but the restaurant should have all the members of your dining party on the reservation to ensure you’re seated at a table that accommodates everyone. Dining reservations can be made online or by calling (714) 781-DINE or (714) 781-3463.

Make sure that one of your first stops once you arrive at the theme parks is City Hall in Disneyland Park or the Chamber of Commerce in Disney California Adventure Park to pick up a complimentary “1st Visit” celebration button for each of you. It will add a little extra magic to your trip!

I hope this answers your question, Brandy. Please don’t hesitate to write back with more questions as you continue planning your pixie-dusted vacation!  We’d be glad to help.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
