Hi, Tanya!
Visiting
Walt Disney World during the holidays is my most favorite time of the year to go. If you plan in advance and expect not to get everything done that you might during another time of the year, it can really be a magical experience.
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party ends earlier in December, however, there are a whole bunch of
Disney Holiday Magic festivities going on. The best of these, in my opinion, is the stunning Candlelight Processional at
Epcot. It is the traditional story of Christmas told by a celebrity narrator and accompanied by an incredible choir. It's gorgeous.
You'll still find everything decorated, holiday lights everywhere, holiday treats offered. Other special events for this year haven't yet been announced, but there's usually a special something going on at Disney's Hollywood Studios that includes some good old Florida snow.
This is the most crowded time of the year to go. No doubt about it, you'll need to be patient. But I always recommend taking advantage of morning extra magic hours, use the
FastPass+ offering to your advantage, and make your
Dining Reservations in advance - especially for the meals that are must-do for your family.
I always find the Christmas season to be especially magical at Walt Disney World. I don't mind the crowds, but we also build in a lot of down time to just enjoy the resort and the family time. I hope you get to experience this wonderful time of year at Disney!
