This is our first time bringing our baby to Disney. I’m worried about our stroller getting stolen. Is that a problem that reoccurs at Disney? If yes, what advice do you have? Thank you

    Hi, there!

Welcome to planDisney, Vasti. I'm so glad you stopped by! Let's chat about your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.

As a mom of three, I've been pushing a stroller throughout the theme parks for, what seems like, a very long time. It's been an absolute must-have for our family's Disney vacations! I totally understand your concern about bringing your stroller for the first time. I'm happy to tell you that strollers being stolen in the theme parks is absolutely not a recurring issue. In fact, I don't know anyone who's had their stroller stolen during their visit! Nonetheless, I do have some stroller tips for you:

    • Be sure to mark your stroller to make it stand out. There are designated stroller parking areas throughout the theme parks, and as you can imagine, they sometimes look like a sea of strollers! Marking your stroller will help you spot it among so many. I always tie Mickey Mouse ribbon around the handlebar of our stroller, but I've seen Guests use nameplates, balloons, and even battery-operated twinkle lights!
    • Speaking of the designated stroller parking areas, sometimes Cast Members will rearrange the parked strollers to create additional space. This may mean that you don't find your stroller in the exact place you parked it. Don't panic like I did the first time this happened to me! Your stroller should be nearby, but if you don't see it, ask the Cast Member attending the area to help you find it.
    • Consider packing something to cover your stroller with in inclement weather. I can't tell you how many times we've parked our stroller, hopped on an attraction, and then come out to the parking area to find our stroller sopping wet in the pouring rain. A waterproof stroller cover will work perfectly, but I usually just use an adult-sized poncho and stretch it out! We now know that if the skies look even a bit ominous when we're parking the stroller, to cover it just in case.
    • A Mommy Hook or large carabiner is the perfect stroller accessory for your pixie-dusted adventures. I use it to hang our refillable popcorn bucket and shopping bags!

Did you know there's a conveniently located Baby Care Center in each of the four theme parks? The Baby Care Center is the perfect place to take your baby for a quiet diaper change or feeding. I always appreciated that the Baby Care Centers feature an on-site shop with baby essentials available for purchase like formula, diapers, and baby food. We once ran out of diapers while we were at Magic Kingdom Park (yikes!) and the Baby Care Center came to our rescue!

I hope this was helpful, Vasti. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort with your baby in tow! We'd love to help you plan a magical trip.
