Hi, Krici! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm so excited to hEAR that you're bringing your Mouseketeers to
Walt Disney World Resort for the first time! A first visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth is always special, but when that visit takes place during the
holiday season, it's practically perfect in every way!
As you prepare for your trip, I would recommend sitting down with your children and looking at the
list of attractions for
Magic Kingdom Park. This resEARch will help you formulate a list of your must-dos. If your kiddos are thrill-seekers, they may wish to conquer the mountains (
Space Mountain,
Splash Mountain, and
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad) of Magic Kingdom Park. If they'd prefer to start with a slightly milder thrill ride,
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train would be perfect for your kids. If your children are feeling a bit less adventurous, Magic Kingdom Park has plenty of attractions that are perfect for the entire family.
Peter Pan's Flight and
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin are two of my family's favorite attractions.
Due to
enhanced health and safety measures, most fireworks shows and nighttime spectaculars are currently on hold. However, during the holiday season, Guests can enjoy several festive projection effects that will be adorning
Cinderella Castle. You might even be able to see some quick bursts of fireworks as the castle's lighting effects change from one design to the next. When I visited Magic Kingdom Park a couple of weeks ago, the castle projections began as soon as it was fully dark and continued throughout the rest of the evening. Cinderella Castle, in all of her holiday splendor, makes a great backdrop for photos, so be sure to find a
Disney PhotoPass Service photographer to take your family's picture.
