First...THANK YOU for this wonderful panel! We've a BLT 1 bdr lake view villa. My girls are 3 & 6 and I want good quiet sleep for them and a good view. Should I request a certain room or floor? What should we avoid?

    Hi Jill,

I'm so glad that you are enjoying the Disney Parks Moms Panel! My family absolutely loves Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. The proximity to Magic Kingdom Park cannot be beat. With two little girls, the ability to walk to or ride the monorail to Magic Kingdom Park will be fabulous. The resort itself has so much to offer. The pool is wonderful, and we love to take advantage of the daily activities offered at Community Hall on the first floor.

We have also stayed in one-bedroom villas with a Bay Lake View. I find this view to be lovely and quite serene. You can watch the boats going by taking guests to and from Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. At night, the Electrical Water Pageant floats by along Bay Lake with music and lights. This might be a little too late for your girls to see (when I was there it came by at 10:10 p.m.), but would be nice for you to watch. Don't worry, the music isn't too loud!

I think that finding a villa with a good view and that is quiet at this resort go hand-in-hand. I would suggest requesting a higher floor. Being higher off the ground will mean less ground noise as well as a more panoramic view. Also consider asking for a room that is not near the elevator bays, which tend to have a bit of noise. No matter where we were located at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, we've never had trouble with too much noise. The best way to indicate a room request is either upon on-line check in (you will be prompted to include any room requests), or you can call the resort ten days before you check in at 407-824-1000. Please be aware that room requests are only requests. Disney will do their best to honor them, but they are not guaranteed.

Have a wonderful time on your trip, Jill! Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
