First of all, thank you so much for a quick response. Just wondering can you please let me know what you think of Coronado Springs? What the difference would be between the one you told me about (Orleans) and this one? Thanks so much, I really appreciate it

    Hi Kim!

Like the Port Orleans resorts, Coronado Springs is a Disney Moderate Resort.  Coronado Springs has an American Southwest theme with buildings around a 15 acre lake.  The resort is very large and spread out.  I personally think it is too large and this is one reason that I prefer Port Orleans Riverside over Coronado Springs, thought Port Orleans Riverside is also large..

There is a stepped Mayan pyramid in the main pool area with a water slide and a playground for kids disguised as an archeological dig site.  The pool is fabulous!  There are also 3 additional quiet or leisure pools at the resort.

The average guest room is approximately 314 square feet and has two queen beds; in addition, there are a few rooms with king-size beds.

While I don't know if it is fair to say that the resort caters to business travelers, it is true that a lot of business travelers stay there.  In a nutshell, it is a convention hotel with a large convention center.  Some guests don't like the idea of seeing other guests in business suits doing business; they would prefer not to be reminded of work while on vacation.

I personally prefer Port Orleans Riverside over Coronado Springs.  I like the theming of the Alligator Bayou section of Port Orleans better.  I think that both resorts have great pools.  To get to a theme park from either you have to ride a Disney bus or your own car, as opposed to another form of transportation.  Port Orleans does offer carriage rides and there is the boat to Downtown Disney that I find very relaxing and enjoyable.
