Hi Josh!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney!
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is one of my favorite Walt Disney World Resort Resort Collection hotels. I'm an Island girl at heart, so I love the tropical vibes and laid-back atmosphere. And yes, those hammocks that you've been dreaming of are still around property at each village's beach area. As you know, relaxing by Barefoot Bay is the perfect way to unwind after a long day at the parks.
While I'm unsure of when you last visited the resort hotel, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort has had many
refurbishments and additions over the last few years. You are going to be in awe of the new open-and-bright Old Port Royale lobby. It immediately transports you to the islands. Many of the rooms received refurbishments, the resort hotel is now the home to a Disney Skyliner station, and there are some fantastic, new dining options. After relaxing on the hammocks, I strongly recommend a visit to
Sebastian's Bistro, a table-service restaurant with Caribbean and Latin-inspired options. I'm seriously craving the pull-apart rolls and the Sebastian Island Paradise (frozen passion fruit, orange, and guava juice). If you want to keep the more chill Island vibe going, try
Banana Cabana, the pool bar that's next door.
AN EXTRA GEM: My family loved staying in the "Jamaica" village during our last visit because it was a short walk to the
Disney Skyliner hub. Also, I love that there's a new
Joffrey's Coffee and Tea Co. on the path toward the transportation hub. It's a quick way to get fuel up on the ride over to connected theme parks like
EPCOT and
Disney's Hollywood Studios. Josh, I hope that you have an amazing vacation! Please
revisit us here at planDisney if you have any further questions.
Magic always,
LeAndra
