Hi Jennifer, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Congratulations to your daughter and her new college journey. What a fabulous way for you to celebrate this new stage in your life. Solo trips to Walt Disney World are simply magical! I love traveling with my family but also enjoy the freedom that comes with a solo vacation.
Particularly on a solo trip, I can understand your interest in the "Service Your Way" program at
Disney's All-Star Sports Resort. Currently, you can receive a
Disney Gift Card if you decide to decline housekeeping services for the length of your stay. The way the program works now, you are asked at check-in if you would like to participate. If you do, you will receive an email after check-in with the Disney Gift Card code included and you can use it as you would any other Disney Gift Card.
This means you would be able to use the gift card for any room charges. I spoke with one of our wonderful cast members to be sure how the parking fees are charged. The parking fees will be charged at the end of your stay when you check out of the resort. If I wanted to be certain the gift card was used for the parking fees instead of my credit card, I would visit the Lobby Concierge desk the evening before I checked out to apply the gift card to my account. At Disney, we keep moving forward so all programs, terms, and policies are subject to change. Please verify the information when you check in to the resort.
And as you continue to plan your fabulous solo vacation, please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Amy H.
