    First, it says on day cancellation required for ADR. When exactly must a reservation be cancelled? Is that 24 hours or just by midnight the day before. Second, if we have morning Character Buffet reserved,can we order something light instead of the buffet?

    Hello, Scott.  Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. 

    Per the canceling reservations FAQ's page, you are able to cancel your dining reservations until 11:59 p.m. EST the day before your actual reservation.  You can cancel online or by calling 407-WDW-DINE.  At restaurants where to meal is all-you-care-to-enjoy there isn't necessarily a separate menu for you to order off of.  But because it is a buffet, you are free to pick and choose the food you enjoy.  All of the breakfast buffets at Walt Disney World offer lighter options like fruit, yogurts and cereal.
