    I want to do my first run next January/February. I was wondering how the New Balance Disney shoes come into play?

    I am excited to hear you are interested in participating in a 2015 runDisney event. January offers the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend presented by Cigna® and February brings the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, both excellent choices for your first race. 

    The runDisney New Balance line of running shoes were created as a means of offering a Disney-inspired shoe for Disney and runDisney fans. They are available for purchase at the Health and Fitness Expos held during race weekends at both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. These shoes are additional pieces of merchandise available for sale and will not play a part in your actual participation of a race- though they are fun to have.

    I would also love to know which race you are leaning toward! I can help answer any questions you may have regarding training, planning, and any specific race questions you might think of, so don't hesitate to contact me as you begin preparing.
