Bright suns, Bethany! Welcome back to planDisney.
The Force is strong in you, and you’re going to feel the Force flowing when you visit
Savi’s Workshop to build your customized lightsaber. When I built mine, the Force wasn't the only thing flowing – tears were flowing too! This is absolutely one of my very favorite experiences at the Walt Disney World Resort, and one of my best Disney memories. You are going to LOVE it.
I had a dispatch from The Gatherers confirming that, while resort and front-of-park package delivery is currently paused at the Walt Disney World Resort,
Guests of Savi and droid builders will have access to this service. Just let the Cast Member know when you check in to the experience that you’d like to send your finished light sabers to either the front of Disney’s Hollywood Studios for pickup as you exit or to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel. They’ll hand you a short form to complete and you’ll be all set. If you prefer, you can also choose to have your lightsaber sent straight to your home for a small fee.
As for early arrival, I’ve got good news on that front too. Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been allowing Guests into the park around 60 minutes in advance of park opening to avoid crowds at the front of the park, so you should be all set for your early reservation. (Note this does not mean attractions open that early, but I love to stroll the park and take in all the details!) If you find that Guests are being held at the time of your arrival, look for a Cast Member, let them know you have an early reservation, and they’ll help you out. Usually there’s a Cast Member holding a sign at one of the furthest left or right turnstiles who can assist with these requests.
You are going to have a blast during your time on Batuu at
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Be sure to look down as you explore the land – you’ll see tracks from some of your favorite droids in the ground. Don’t miss a stop at
Milk Stand for a cup of frosty blue milk and a Ronto Wrap cooked over a podracer engine at
Ronto Roasters. Enjoy every minute of your Star Wars adventure!
‘Til the Spire,
Robyn
