Hello! When we first got Magicbands, we didn’t give our daughters charging privileges. Now that they’re older, we wanted to add charging privileges, so they can buy treats and things without us. I cannot figure out how to do this online. Can you help?

Hi there, Kristin! Thanks for coming back to see us again here at planDisney! It's always such a pleasure when our friends stop by for another visit.

Your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation is nearly here! Only TWO days to go! I bet your daughters are getting really excited to be back in The Most Magical Place on Earth. In fact, if they're anything like my son, they're probably already thinking about some of the snacks and souvenirs they'd like to treat themselves to!

You can enable your daughters to use their MagicBands for purchases when you complete the check-in process, either online through your My Disney Experience account, or in person when you arrive at your Disney Resorts Collection hotel. If you're planning to check in online (which Disney recommends, and is a huge time saver!), you should be able to add your daughters at the point in the process where you input the credit card you plan to use for incidental charges. You can assign a different PIN for them if you like, or the whole family can share the same PIN. If you have any problems getting your daughters set up to charge during online check-in, you can just visit the front desk of your Resort hotel at the beginning of your stay. It should be super quick for a Cast Member to get everything squared away, so you'll be back to the magic before you know it!

I hope you and your family have a practically perfect Walt Disney World vacation, Kristin. Be sure to hop on back by if you have any more questions. We're always here to help!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
