Hi there, Jeff!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your Disney Cruise Line vacation is coming up SO SOON!! How excited are you?!?! Before you know it, you will be onboard the beautiful
Disney Magic headed for five-nights filled with fun, adventure and memories. The live, Broadway-style “Tangled, the Musical” cannot be missed and dining at
Rapunzel’s Royal Table is an experience that I will gladly repeat!
Since we often find ourselves cruising on the Disney Magic, we often depart from the Port of Miami. But we also often fly into Fort Lauderdale International Airport as it’s incredibly convenient for us to get direct flights there. Depending on our flight times, we have both rented a car to get us from the Port of Miami to the airport in Fort Lauderdale and hired a private car service. More often than not we will rent a one-way car and drive ourselves to the airport, which proves to be more cost effective and allows us some convenience during the day to grab lunch or even make a detour to the local Children’s Museum when our flight home is later in the day! Many of the local rental car companies have locations near the cruise terminal and their shuttle will take you to their office to pick up a vehicle. If we are more pressed for time, we will arrange for a private car service to pick us up from the cruise terminal and take us directly to the airport. Pricing is dependent upon number of passengers and type of vehicle you select. If you go this route, I do recommend selecting a company that has a set rate from point A to point B, which many of them do.
As your adventure approaches, please come back with any other planning questions you have!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
