Hi, We have my first holiday to DW planned for July this year and we are staying at the Dolphin. We have been advised to book a meal plan for us all, as this makes financial sense and we can also make reservations in advance. Can anyone advise on costs?

    Hi Salim,

Congratulations on your first holiday to Walt Disney World! Since this is your first visit be sure to stop by Guest Services in any of the theme parks and pick up a complimentary "1st Visit" button to wear. You will be surprised at how many times your family is congratulated and sometimes a little extra Pixie Dust is sprinkled your way.

Guests of select Disney Resort hotels may add the Disney Dining Plan to their Magic Your Way vacation packages. Unfortunately Guests of the Swan and Dolphin Resort hotels are not eligible to participate since these two Resort hotels are not Disney owned. If adding the Disney Dining Plan is important to you, you may choose to change Resort hotels. However if you are happy with your hotel selection you may simply pay as you go for your meals and snacks. I have stayed at many Disney owned Resort hotels with the Disney Dining Plan as part of a vacation package and I have also stayed at the Swan and Dolphin Resort hotels. Each experience was unique and wonderful. Although I am a big fan of the Disney Dining Plan, I am also a big fan of the famous "heavenly beds" that are offered at the Swan and Dolphin.

The cost of the Disney Dining Plan can vary, but to give you an idea of the price range my upcoming vacation in a few weeks has the Disney Dining Plan listed at $60.64 (tax included) per day for adult and $19.23 (tax included) per day for child ages 3-9. This is for the Disney Dining Plan that includes 1 Table Service meal, 1 Quick Service meal and 1 snack per day. There are other plans available as you can see in the above Disney Dining Plan link.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    Blessings,
