We are going to our FIRST family vacation to WDW 9/26-10/3. My 4yo daughter is excited to be going to the BBB. Are the dresses there very 'high quality', or would I find the exact same at Wal*Mart, and am I better of buying one B4 coming to WDW?

I have three daughters who all went through serious princess phases, so I am well acquainted with the differences in manufacturing quality in among princess attire. Over the years, we've owned dress-up gowns from online Halloween costume vendors, discount stores like Walmart and Target, the Disney store at our local mall, and from Walt Disney World. Of those locations, my assessment is that the costumes purchased in the parks are of the highest quality. They can withstand years of play and even remain sturdy enough to pass down to little sisters or cousins. On the other hand, most of the Halloween-quality costumes we've purchased disintegrated after just a few months of play.

However, sometimes you don't always need a costume to last forever. The princess costumes in the parks currently run about $65 each, plus tax (prices can change). Accessories such a shoes, capes, wands, etc. can be purchased at additional cost. You can usually find lesser quality costumes off Disney property for significantly less than this. You have to balance out your cost constraints with your desire for quality. You might notice the difference in one costume over another, but chances are that a four-year old won't.
