    This is our first family vacation! My children really want to see Disney and are now old enough to really enjoy it. But Ive never planned a big trip like this and I am totally overwhelmed! I only have 2 months to plan......Where do I even start??

    Hi Kelly,

    First, congratulations on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World! You've stopped by the right place to get all of your planning questions answered.

    The first thing you need to do is narrow down your vacation dates. Next, figure out where you want to stay. WDW has wonderful accommodations in all price ranges. Take a look at the resort hotels.

    You may benefit from the help of a trusted travel agent but you can certainly book everything on your own as well. If you are looking to keep expenses down, do some reading at www.mousesavers.com!

    Next, you'll want to determine how many days that you intend to tour the WDW theme parks (Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney's Hollywood Studios). Then, determine what ticket options best suit your family. 

    You should price out a room only reservation where you book your room, then purchase tickets separately. Or a WDW vacation package that includes tickets, plus other options such as a Disney Dining Plan.

    Then, you'll need to start making dining reservations. Consider a character meal!
