First family trip to WDW this week. Me, wife, and 2 boys will be staying at All Star Movies resort. The first morning, we have early res. for Chef Mickey's char. breakfast for 7:20AM. What transportation will be available for use early enough to get there?

    Hi Dana,

What a fantastic way to kick-start your vacation! My family has a tradition of attending a character meal on the first morning of each trip. There is no better way to start the day!

We have never experienced any problems with using Disney's complimentary bus service to get to early morning dining reservations. You could mention it to a cast member when you check-in at your resort for confirmation and to put your mind at rest.

I would suggest that you be at the bus stop at your resort for no later than 6.30am and take the first bus to the Magic Kingdom. If there are no other guests on the bus, I would mention to the bus driver where you are heading to and it may be possible for him to seek permission to take you straight to Disney's Contemporary resort. If not, get off the bus at the Magic Kingdom and from here you can either take a short stroll over to the Contemporary or wait for the next resort monorail.

Another option would be to take a cab from your resort straight there. The journey would take approximately 15 minutes.

Have fun at Chef Mickey's with Mickey and the gang and a magical trip!
