Hi! First family trip to WDW. Our kids (6/8) heard from friends that Chef Mickey's is the place to go BUT zero ADR left the week we are there. I will keep trying but do they still take walk ins and if so, is it worth us chancing it and going there? HELP!

Hi Brad!

Since I am local, I often only know a few days ahead of time when I'll be heading up to Walt Disney World. You'd be surprised (and usually I am too) at how often I can snag a last minute dining reservation for even the most popular restaurants. Keep trying every day, especially the few days before and multiple times a day.

Do they take walk-ins? Sometimes. It all depends on how many guests end up being no-shows or that cancel last minute for their reservations. If you have your hearts set on dining with Chef Mickey, then yes, it might be worth a shot. There is a nice arcade nearby that can occupy the kids if you end up having to wait. I would try to work this in on a day you plan on visiting the Magic Kingdom. If you aren't able to get in, you're just a monorail ride or a short walk back to the park.
