Our very first family trip to Disney World is in a couple of weeks. It'll be myself, my husband and our two boys - age 8 & 9. I'm wondering if I should carry a backpack for my camera, wallets and some snacks and bottled water?

    Hi Nina!

How exciting!   Before you know it you'll be in the middle of all the "Magic"!

We have two boys, also, and have always taken a backpack with us to the Parks.  It usually includes our cameras, snacks, bottled water, wallets, wipes, sunscreen, and ponchos if there is a chance of rain.  (Ponchos can also be purchased in the Parks.)  And, of course, a brush and lipstick for me, the MOM!

There is usually room on every ride to carry your backpack with you, so nothing to worry about there.  Just make sure you secure it tightly in the compartments provided on the thrill rides!

In addition, I usually pack most of those items inside ziploc plastic baggies inside the backpack, in case of rain, or if we make the crazy decision to ride some splashy rides (which we always do!).

Have a great time on your first trip to Walt Disney World!  If you have any more questions between now and then, be sure to come back and ask!
