Hi , Our first family trip to Disney in Jan 2014, but we are staying off property in a time share my brother offered. Can we still purchase a character meal ? I so wanted to treat her to the Royal Table Dinner. I am confused on rules. Thanks so much.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Kristi ~

A first family trip to Disney World is always super exciting!  Be sure to pick up "1st Visit" buttons at any theme park Guest Relations location.

I've been traveling to Disney World since it opened and have stayed both on and off property.  You can absolutely book a character meal or make advanced dining reservations even if you are staying off property.  Reservations can be made beginning 180 day prior to your trip.  You can make reservations online through the links shown above or by calling 407-WDW-DINE.

Cinderella's Royal Table is a very popular dining location so I'd go ahead and make reservations now.

Please feel free to visit us with all of your planning questions.  Its our pleasure to assist you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
