Our first family trip to Disney is booked for Sept 9-16/14 with our two girls (16 & 10)... what are some MUST-DO's??? We want to get as much in within our short time as possible ans still enjoy ourselves. We are booked to stay at Pop Century Resort.

    Hi Cynthia,

Congratulations on booking your first magical vacation at Walt Disney World! You and your family will be staying at our family's favorite Value Resort Hotel, Disney's Pop Century. You're in for a fantastic time.

As for must-dos, this will all depend on your family's taste in vacations If you are looking for the classic firsts of a Walt Disney World vacation, it all starts at the Magic Kingdom. Spending a whole day exploring Fantasyland, New Fantasyland, Frontierland and much more will provide instant memories for each family member. Plus, the magic truly starts when you first set your eyes on Cinderella Castle. If you 10 year old princess (and your 16 year old, for that matter) still has a love for Disney Princesses, a trip to Princess Fairytale Hall should be in order as well.

If you are thrill seekers, you'll want to take on the adventure of exploring every fun attraction at each park. At Magic Kingdom, conquering the "three mountains" Space Mountain, Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Disney's Hollywood Studios has Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Toy Story Mania. At Disney's Animal Kingdom, you'll enjoy Expedition Everest and Kali River Rapids. Our family's favorite are the two thrill rides in Epcot, Soarin' and Test Track.

One tip I love to give families is to also take in a show within each park you visit. Many families forget that Walt Disney World has amazing entertainment. Finding Nemo - The Musical, Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular and even the special performances within the pavilions of Epcot are all top notch. Be sure to add them to your to-do list.

I hope this answered your question, Cynthia. If you have any more questions before your vacation, feel free to ask us at any time.

    Have a fantastical Disney day!
