Hi, First family trip Dec 23 - 31, 2011. Wondering about planning dining exp., shows, parades etc. so as not to miss anything. 6 day park passes no hopping. May consider water parks while there depending on weather. Sample itinerary? Thanks! :)

    Hi Christine!

    Yay! First Disney trip!!

First things first--you will NOT see everything! It's impossible! I've been to Disney TONS of times and still I haven't seen everything! That's what makes Disney such a great vacation. So, don't worry about "seeing it all"!

But, to answer your question (I hope!), I really need more info. There are so many factors that contribute to your itinerary and choices--are your kids little? teens? adults only? Do you need to go back to the hotel for naps in the middle of the day? Do you want to sit down and have table service meals every meal? Are you staying on site?

My suggestion is to get a guide book like The Complete Walt Disney World by Julie Neal. It has SO much amazing info in it--detailed reviews of attractions and restaurants, special events and more. That way you'll get a feel of what you and your family would like to see.

I'm also a big fan of (a fan site with TONS of info) and (a site with crowd predictions and sample daily itineraries). And of course, just browsing the Moms Panel is helpful, too! :)

On the whole, though, I suggest getting to know a little bit about each park, then deciding what the main 2-4 things you want to see & do. Make sure you get to those first (by getting Fast Passes or knowing the schedule beforehand) and then just take your time through the rest of the park. You'll get to enjoy the experience of Disney World that way!

I hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any more specific questions!
