First, My Family is coming to WDW in 02/2013. We are staying off property because we got a free deal. How long (on Average) does it take to get to WDW from the surrounding Condos? Also, I have an 16 month old. Is there a lot for toddlers to do in WDW?

    Hi Kristy!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

This is a really hard question to answer as it really depends on where exactly your off property location is and where in Walt Disney World you are trying to get to.  There are some off property locations that are very close to Disney's Animal Kingdom but far from the Magic Kingdom.  Likewise, some properties that are very close are in densely populated areas with a lot of traffic and thus take more time to reach a Disney theme park than other properties much farther away.  To give you an idea of the size of Walt Disney World, it takes about 20 minutes to get from one side to the other side.  You would have to add on to that your distance to Walt Disney World.  When we have stayed off property "close" to Walt Disney World, we have been anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes away; the 60 minutes was mostly do to stop and go traffic, especially in the evenings.

With regards to taking a 16 month old to the parks, you won't have any issues.  Most of the attractions at Walt Disney world were designed with the whole family in mind.  Very few attractions have a height restriction and if there is no height restriction then your 16 month old can go on.  The Magic Kingdom is usually the favorite theme park of young children so definitely be prepared to spend a couple of days in that park!

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
