This is our first ever disney vacation. It will be me, my hubby, our 21 y.o. son and our 10 y.o. daughter. My hubby and son want all the wild stuff, while my daughter and I want less dangerous adventures. where do we stay and what do we do activity wise???

Hi Millisa!  I am sure your family will enjoy their first Disney vacation!

Looking at the ages of your children I would probably suggest a resort near EPCOT.  If your budget allows either the Yacht Club, The Beach Club, or the Boardwalk resort would be perfect choices.  All three are within a five minute walk to EPCOT where you can enjoy the nightlife and great dining. You can also walk or take the water taxi to Hollywood Studios. Right at your finger tips is the Boardwalk area where things pick up after dark from street entertainers to the dueling pianos at Jellyrolls for your son and husband. (21 age required)

The Yacht and Beach Club share the swimming pool called Stormalong Bay which is considered by many to be the best on property.  It has sandy bottoms, slides, and many nooks and crannies to enjoy a day of swimming. These resorts are also on the water so you are able to rent the speedy Sea Raycers for all to enjoy a day on the water.

If you need something in the moderate budget then I suggest either Port Orleans French Quarter or Coronado Springs. Coronado Springs is the only moderate resort to have queen beds in their rooms. The amenities are about the same beyond that.

Each park will have plenty of attractions to satisfy those who want the thrills and those who wish to have a slower pace.  I suggest you read through the descriptions of each and have your son and daughter make their own list of "must do" before you head to the parks. Click HERE. You can set up meeting times and places and enjoy the stories each will share when you get back together.
