We are going on our first ever cruise...going on the Disney Wonder to Alaska. I was wondering if there are any character meals? I have an almost 4 y/o daughter and wondering if kids dress up in costume on the ship like they do at Disney World? Thank you!

    Ahoy, Darcie!

Congratulations on your upcoming cruise aboard the Disney Wonder this summer to Alaska! You picked a fantastic voyage for your first cruise ever -- you really know how to go in style!

One of the best things about any cruise aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship is that you have unprecedented access to the characters. They're everywhere! Not only do we have great photos of my children with the characters but great video of them interacting with them throughout the cruise. Yet, on 7-night cruises, you have the option on days at sea of enjoying a character breakfast in the restaurants. This is a great way to get a visit in with some of your favorites!

Children do like to dress up like their favorite characters on Disney cruises, and it is certainly welcomed. It's so precious to see a little princess dressed like her heroine as she looks up at her grown up counterpart. Your princess will be in awe of seeing such royalty when you sail.

I hope this helps you plan and anticipate your voyage with even greater excitement. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
