We are going on our first ever cruise on Dec 15. I reserved the GVS with Restrictions and am wondering if there is a way to advise DCL that we are first time cruisers and that we do not know how we will react i.e. sea sickness for when assigning our room?

    Hello Carrie,

Thanks so much for sailing by!  How exciting that your first Disney Cruise Line vacation is only a few weeks away.  Reserving a guaranteed stateroom is a wonderful, economic option that my family has used several times.  We have never been disappointed with our stateroom, and, in fact, have always been pleasantly surprised by our wonderful accommodations!  I can tell you that in our many cruises (on each of the Disney Cruise Line ships in Europe, the Caribbean, the Bahamas and Alaska) we have never had a problem with motion sickness.  You can certainly notate your request for a certain part of the ship (middle, aft or forward) with Disney Cruise Line, however, in my experience, the guaranteed staterooms are assigned just a few weeks, or in some cases, days before the sailing (hence making them a great bargain).  I suspect you will be absolutely fine, however, if you or anyone in your family needs medical assistance, there is a 24/7 medical center on the first floor of each Disney Cruise Line ship.

Have a magical first Disney Cruise Line vacation!
