For first entrance of the day, can you take the monorail into Disneyland, if you are staying at Paradise Pier?

    Hiya, Tracie!

You betcha! Any Guest with valid theme park admission and a theme park reservation to Disneyland Park may use the Disneyland Monorail for their first entry of the day into the park. It turns out that my family and I did this just last week, even though we were only staying at a Good Neighbor Hotel. Of course, only Guests of the three Disneyland Resort Hotels may use this option for early entry into the park.

As you may already be aware, Guests staying at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel may use a special entrance to Disney California Adventure Park exclusively for them. This entrance is located directly across Disneyland Drive. To access it, walk toward the main entrance of Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Immediately before the pedestrian gate that leads to the hotel entrance, you will turn down another path to the right where you will use your hotel key to open a pedestrian gate to the entrance that takes you into the Paradise Gardens Park area of the park.

When you visit Disneyland Park, you may also choose to use the gate toward the Grand Californian Hotel's main entrance and walk through that hotel toward the middle of the Downtown Disney District and then proceed to the esplanade between the main entrances of both parks. When we stayed at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel last fall, we loved the convenience of the various options for accessing the theme parks.

Tony’s Tip: One of the great things about staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel is that you can take advantage of many of the amenities and benefits of the hotel on every day of your stay, including check-in day and check-out day. So even on the day you check in, you could use your early entry benefit or visit a hotel pool even before your room is ready. And if you pay for hotel parking, you can keep your car in the hotel parking facility as early as you need on the first day and as late as you’d like on the last day. When we stayed at the Disneyland Hotel a few years ago, we loved sitting by the E-Ticket Pool enjoying Lava Smoothies from the pool bar on our check-out day well into the afternoon.

I hope you have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort, Tracie! Should you have any more questions, we’d be happy to hear from you again here at planDisney.
