First DVC visit Sep 15 to Floridian Studio Villa standard view. Are there studios on high floors as we prefer to be as high up as possible. Any resort, planning or misc recommendations for Floridian first timers? Can't wait and love the panel BTW. x

    Hi Lorna,

Thank you so much for your kind words about the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  We love helping guests to plan magical vacations!  How exciting to be heading to The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.  The resort is so lovely and elegant.

I believe that the different layouts of villas are spread throughout The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and thus, I believe that you should find deluxe studios on the upper floors at this resort.  I suggest that you note on your reservation that you would like an upper floor.  You can do this by calling Disney Vacation Club Member Services at 1-800-800-9800.  You should also be able to note this request if you do online check-in before your vacation.  Please note that while Disney will do their best to honor all requests, they cannot be guaranteed.

There is so much to do at The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.  If you enjoy a spa, Senses - A Disney Spa at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort is a quick walk from the villas there.  On my last trip, I enjoyed both a massage and manicure at this spa, and both were wonderful and relaxing.  You will of course be located conveniently to the monorail line, but do not forget that you can also take advantage of boat transportation to Magic Kingdom Park.  This can be calming and a really nice way to get to and from Magic Kingdom Park.  For dining at this resort, we enjoy both Narcoossee's for great seafood and Citricos for a Mediterranean and upscale experience.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Lorna.  Have a great time planning your vacation, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
