Welcome Home, Sarah!
You must be so excited for your very first
Disney Vacation Club stay at
Walt Disney World Resort!
Dining around Disney is one of my family's favorite parts of our DVC stays, and doing so using a
Disney Dining Plan is a deliciously smart way to do it.
Your Disney Dining Plan's entitlements will be valid from the
day of your check-in until
midnight of the day you check out. As such, your entitlements will expire at midnight on the day you check out of your
first resort in a split-stay vacation.
If you have any leftover snack or meal entitlements at that first checkout time, consider using them on items that will store nicely at your second resort stay. (You'll have a fridge and microwave in all DVC Studios, with a full kitchen in Villas, so refrigerated items are okay, too!) When we have any remaining Quick-Service meals, for example, I like to pick up sandwiches and salads at
Earl of Sandwich. Extra snacks? Look for special locations such as
Bayview Gifts at
Disney's Contemporary Resort (gourmet cookies or candy, anyone?) To determine which items may be purchased with a snack credit, just look for the Disney Dining Plan (DDP) purple and white logo next to each item on a menu or next to the price on an item on display in a case in a snack counter.
You can even bring your
leftovers from the first resort over to the fridge in your second. If your second room isn't available when you are ready to transfer your gear, Bell Services can hold items requiring refrigeration at either resort--whichever is easier for you.
Have so much fun on your first Disney Vacation Club stay at the Most Magical Place on Earth, Sarah!
Be sure to send us more questions as you plan, too. We love to help!
