    This is our first Disney World vacation. We have an 8 year old girl and 6 year old boy. I know we will enjoy mostly everything, but which activites/sites do you recommend most for their ages?

    Welcome Lloyd!  I am sure planning a warm Disney vacation is just the thing to do from the snowy north!  How exciting you will be coming for your first Walt Disney World vacation!

    You are correct in that your children will enjoy just about everything.  There will be some height restrictions for certain attractions through-out the parks and you can determine what "thrills" might be too intense for them but all parks have numerous attractions, rides and shows for all ages.   Visit the Disney website and check the attractions to see restrictions for each. www.disneyworld.com You did not mention how long you will be staying but hopefully you will have at least one day per park plus a day to relax and enjoy the resort pools and recreation possibilities.

    If your stay is limited to just a day or two it will be important that you visit the Magic Kingdom.  Everyone needs a picture taken in front of Cinderella Castle!  If your children enjoy animals then make sure you also visit Animal Kingdom park.  There are wonderful things to see and do in EPCOT and also Hollywood Studios as well so if time permits you will enjoy a day at each.  Don't feel like you have to see it all.  Pick out favorites and concentrate on seeing those and enjoying your stay versus running like crazy from one park to the next.  There is so much to experience beyond the rides through-out Walt Disney World.  Have a wonderful time!
