We are going on our first Disney vacation - 4 year old girl. can you explain what the first time pin will do for us, and also explain the pin trading...should we purcahse pins before we go to disney at christmas?

    Hi Deborah!

Wearing the "1st Visit" button will get you loads of recognition throughout Walt Disney World by Cast Members.  My son (almost 4) loves when the Cast Members interact with him and give him personal attention.  This is just one more fun thing to do and it's complimentary!  You can pick up your buttons at any Guest Relations or at your resort.

Pin trading is a lot of fun!  You start with a lanyard and any pins you'd like.  Since you will be trading them, you should buy the least expensive pack.  You can ask any Cast Member to trade or just simply to look at the pins they are wearing to see if you like any.  If you see one you like, you trade!  If you get to a point where you want to keep the ones you have, you will need to purchase additional pins to trade.

The pins that you trade have to be Disney pins.  You can purchase pins ahead of time online at the Disney Store.

    Have a magical day!
