We are going on our first Disney vacation in september 2012 we will be there the 15th threw the 19th. We are taking a 4 YO a 3 YO and a 15 month old whats a good limit to give them spending money per day? i have already accounted for tips meals etc.

    Hi Brandi,

You will have so much fun on your first Walt Disney World vacation.  Since you are traveling with little ones, I am going to recommend taking it slow and seeing the park from the eyes of your children.   There is so much to see and do that it can be overwhelming at times.  Plus your kids will be off there regular schedule (as will you), and will be extra tired.  If you kids love characters, purchase an autograph book that you can have pictures placed in it by the signature.  My eight year old still loves looking through her book with the Princess when she was three or four years old.  As far as buying gifts go, my children usually get one small item a day or if there is something more expensive they would like, we will talk about it.  As they have gotten older, we use Disney Gift Cards with set amounts so they can participate in understanding the value of the dollar.  Since your kids are younger, I would recommend setting aside $20-25 a day for the two older kids each.  Most small plush toys are around $15 and t-shirts can be $20.  I usually will set aside time to shop at the end of the day.  You can even purchase small Disney toys at home and give them out as surprise gifts during the day to cut
down your costs.  I know your first Walt Disney World vacation will be so magical, and you soon will create wonderful memories together as a family.  Please send me a follow up question if I can help you further, Brandi.
