    Hi Jenni!

First Trip! Congratulations! You are going to have a wonderful time! If the 4 year old does not eat much, I would recommend that you don't get the Dining Plan option for him/her. You can order off of the kids menu  and pay separately, while the adults use their dining plan credits. When my boys were little, I would chose the dining plan for my husband and I and pay out of pocket for their meals as they were very picky eaters or could eat off our plates.

As for the dining plans, there are several options and they vary based on the type of meal services you prefer (i.e. quick service or counter service only; table service, etc.). For more detailed information, please visit the Disney Dining Plans Page.

Hope this helps! If I can assist you with any other planning question, please feel free to send me your questions!

    Happy Planning!
