Welcome back to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kathleen!
1st trip to
Walt Disney World? How exciting!
Some folks enjoy splitting their stay between 2 resorts for several reasons. For example, we stayed in a Treehouse Villa at
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa when we traveled with my cousin's family; the 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms gave us plenty of space. That trip was over 4th of July, so we split that stay and went to a 2-Bedroom Villa with a Theme Park View at
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. We watched "
Disney's Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky" from our very own balconies--so worth the move!
Should you wish to experience unique features or locations of more than 1 resort, such as the amazing Stormalong Bay at
Disney's Beach Club Resort or a stunning Savanna View room at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, a split stay is a great way to do so.
The downside, packing and unpacking, can be avoided with a little planning. Let your 1st resort be a shorter stay than the 2nd, and don't unpack. When it's time to head to resort #2, your move will be painless, and you can settle in a bit more once there.
Tickets and MagicBands are linked to your My Disney Experience account, so there are no worries there either!
Happy planning, Kathleen! Send more questions as you think of them; we love to help!
