    We will be going for our first Disney trip in June of 2016. Our two-year-old will actually be tall enough to ride some of the rides that have the 40" height requirement. Are there any that he shouldn't be taken on?

    Hi Ashley! It is always exciting when you plan your Disney trip to know that each year your kids have grown and can experience some new attractions. You have mentioned that your child is only two so I will caution you that although he/she might be of the minimum height it might not be in their best interest to do some of the attractions at their age.  As the parent you will know best what your child would enjoy or would be able to handle. I will give some tips for the following attractions that have the height limit of 40 inches.


    Dinosaur is in the dark and will have some large dinosaurs coming out toward the ride vehicle. It is a very bumpy ride as well.
    Test Track is tame except the final run around the building outside. This is all about speed and if your child likes to go fast this should be fine.
    Soarin is another one that is not scary or rough but the child will feel like they are above the ground and in the sky.
    Star Tours is a bit rough and jerky. This one uses 3D glasses which are often hard on the younger ones. It can have some scary characters. 
    Tower of Terror is one I would suggest you do not experience at the age of two.
    Splash Mountain has several drops but the last one is a doozy....not sure a two year old would enjoy this or not but if you do try it make sure you sit in the back so you don't get wet and the child doesn't see what is ahead when it comes to the drop.
    Thunder Mountain is a nice beginning roller coaster but it does have some sharp turns and drops. There is just a bar that comes down in front of you so you do slide back and forth quite a bit.
    The Mine Train and Barnstormer are great beginner roller coasters that I would suggest you try first.

    In any case there is plenty to do and it's best not to push things on the children too quickly or they will never want to go on an attraction again if their first time is not a good experience.
