this is our first disney trip we are going feb 2013... I was just wondering which hotel room would you suggest ..2 adults and 4year old.. AOA little mermaid room or POR the princess room.. i just cant decide..thanks

    Hi, Melanie!

Oooh, so many choices, and all good ones!   Let me give you my thoughts on each:

Art of Animation is brand new and guests have been raving about it.  There are 3 really fun pools including one by the Little Mermaid rooms.  The downside of this choice is that the Little Mermaid rooms are a bit of a hike from the bus stops and main building. Rooms will have 2 double beds.

Port Orleans Riverside is such a beautiful resort.  Because it is a moderate resort, you not only get a food court but also a table service restaurant.  There are multiple pools around Riverside, and the very fun 'Ol Man Island for even more fun for your little one.

My final choice:  I would opt for Riverside.  I love the theme of the Royal Rooms, the cozy queen beds, and the awesome boat ride to Downtown Disney.

Whichever you choose, bring a stroller!  There is a lot of walking at both resorts and we do not want your Mouseketeer tired out before getting on the bus.  Good luck deciding. Either choice will be great, so make your choice and go for it.  Have fun!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
