I have our first disney trip coming up from November 22nd to November 30th, could you please suggest what all events we should be booking in advance? I have already purchased a 6-day ticket and we plan to activate it on November 23rd.

    Hi Harsh,

Welcome to planDisney! I am excited to see that you have an upcoming first visit to the Walt Disney World® Resort planned! Time is ticking, so let me offer a few quick suggestions.

First things first, take a look at the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays Presented by AdventHealth. I highly recommend booking a Candlelight Processional Dining Package. Review the celebrity narrators and then try making a reservation for November 29th. I checked and did not see any availability. Since the celebrity narrator is Josh Gad for November 29th and 30th, I was not surprised! If there is no availability when you check, keep checking. With a dining package, you will get tickets to the show.

When I have needed hard to get dining reservations in the past, I have also used an online reservation finder, so you may want to try one of those services. While I typically only use free services, I will note that there could be a fee for some. Also, I suggest making other advanced dining reservations. A few of our favorite restaurants are Space 220 Lounge, Coral Reef Restaurant, and 'Ohana. For character dining experiences, try Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera (characters are only at breakfast), Cinderella's Royal Table, and Tusker House Restaurant. If you want to check pricing and meal options, check out the menus online. Just go to the home page of each restaurant and click on View Menu, then be sure to select a meal period.

Once you get some dining reservations made, take a few minutes to review the Enchanting Extras Collection. Check out the Fireworks and Nighttime Entertainment and, if you like dining packages, consider booking a Fantasmic! Dining Package. Even when you get tickets to a show with a dining package, I recommend that you arrive at least 30 minutes early to make sure you get a decent seat, earlier if you want more of a seat selection.

I hope this helps! My girls and I love the Candlelight Processional. In the spirit of Princess Tiana, I am sending a wish to the Evening Star hoping a reservation for a dining package becomes available. The music is wonderful and truly brings the joy of the holiday season!

    Magic and memories,
    Donyell
