This is our first Disney trip, arrive at the airport 6/1//2 at 9am, taking the ME to CBR, and checkin is 3 pm. What do we do with 3 kids on their first trip to disney? I made 5pm reservations at 'ohana but dont if I should keep them.

    Hi Amy,

There are dozens of things you could do upon your arrival at Walt Disney World.  First, I would check-in at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.  Even though your official check-in time is not until 3 pm, if the room is ready they will give you access to it immediately.  If not, you may still use the resort's amenities from the moment you arrive. If you tuck your kids' swimsuits in your carry-on bag, they can go investigate the resort's pools.  You could grab lunch at the resort's extensive food court too.  Otherwise, you could take your theme park tickets and head to the park of your choice.  Feel free to leave any bags with Bell Services at your home resort so that you don't have to be burdened with them while you explore.

Another great option for the first day of your journey is to shop, dine, or see a movie at Downtown Disney.  Visiting other Disney resorts can be plenty of fun too.  You might want to spend some time exploring Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Disney's Polynesian Resort before your 5 pm dinner reservation at 'Ohana.  Then, after dinner, consider watching the fireworks above Cinderella Castle from the beach behind Disney's Polynesian Resort.  That's my favorite place in all of Walt Disney World for fireworks viewing.

Don't hesitate to let us know, Amy, if you need any additional advice as you plan your first magical trip to Walt Disney World.  We'd be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Best wishes for a pixie dusted vacation!
