Hello there. Our first Disney Magic cruise is in 3 weeks - cannot wait! Just a question. Do people still wear Sea Bands for Sea Sickness? Are they needed? Thanks for your help!

Final countdown to your magical cruise, Anna!  I am so excited for you and your family!

No one likes that awful feeling of sea sickness.  If you usually get motion sickness (or have a history), then I would suggest that you take the necessary precautions.  I've never been sea sick, and luckily, none of my family members worry about it either.  It is not fun at all, I'm sure. At my last Disney Cruise a few months ago, I did notice a few people who wore the bands on the wrists to help with possible motion sickness. I actually met a couple of moms, and they told me that it was more of a precautionary measure, since they were first time cruisers and their kids experienced motion sickness on a long car ride prior to their vacation.  One of our friends who cruised with us for the first time, wore a patch that goes behind the ear. Although, I heard she experienced some side effects after the cruise that wasn't fun either. I can assure you, that you'll still look stylish if you do decide to wear a band.  Captain Mickey and his crew will not mind seeing this on you at all.

I hope this answers your question.  Please do let us know if you need additional information.

Have a magical voyage and say "Hi" to the Princesses for me!
