Our first Disney cruise is only 2 weeks away! I know that the cruise ship provides life beats but do they allow you to take them off ship for a beach day?

    Hello Ethan,

Thanks so much for sailing by!  How exciting that your Disney Cruise Line voyage is approaching single digits!  I must admit, I'm a bit jealous!  Safety is of paramount importance to Disney Cruise Line, and as such, all passengers will be required to attend an Assembly Drill before sail away on the first evening of their voyages.  During this drill, the crew members will instruct you about the proper donning of life vests, which are located in each stateroom.  As you will learn, these are very large and intended to ensure are passengers are safe in the highly unlikely event of an emergency.  You will not be able to take the life vests off of the ship.  However, if your cruise includes a stop at Castaway Cay, you will be happy to know that life jackets are available on the island free of charge for all passengers.  In addition, many Port Adventures that include beach or water adventures make life jackets available for passengers.

I hope this helps and that your cruise is extra magical!
