We are going on our first Disney Cruise this summer over Independence Day (a 7 night), and I wondered if there is a celebration? I've heard that fireworks are usually on the night of the Pirate Party, which is not July 4. Thanks for your help!

    Ahoy Carrie!
I know you must be looking forward to your awesome summer voyage. Seven nights with Captain Mickey - it doesn't get much better than that!

It's always fun to celebrate a holiday during a Disney Cruise. You can expect festive decorations, drink specials and maybe even a special menu to celebrate America's birthday. I've even seen a video of Donald Duck riding the AquaDuck on Independence Day!

While I wouldn't expect more than one fireworks show during your cruise, you can certainly count on Disney Cruise Line to recognize our country's birthday on July 4th. Make sure to check your Personal Navigator (a daily schedule delivered to your stateroom) for special 4th of July activities for your sailing! You can also call DCL at 1-800-951-3532 closer to your sail date and inquire about special onboard activities for your cruise.

With or without a holiday, a Disney Cruise Line vacation is always a great reason to celebrate! I hope you have a magical time on your summer cruise.
