Ahoy Panagis!
I love hEARing you will be taking your FIRST Disney cruise soon! It’s our pleasure to help you navigate the cruise planning waters, including sharing
first time cruising tips. So take a deep breath and get ready to experience all the delights of your sailing with Captain Mickey and crew.
So here are your options for submitting pre-cruise COVID-19 test results:
1. You can upload results from an independent testing provider by logging in to the
Safe Passage website and following all the prompts to submit those negative COVID-19 PCR test results. If submitting your test sample to an independent provider by mail, overnight mail is recommended. To avoid any delays, your child’s test results should be uploaded as an image file (like a PDF or JPG)
no later than 24 hours prior to Embarkation. It is also strongly recommended that you also bring your child’s negative COVID-19 PCR test result to the terminal on Embarkation Day.
Disney Cruise Line does say that as a backup plan, Guests who are unable to successfully upload their test results to Safe Passage must bring proof of negative COVID-19 PCR test results with them to the terminal for review onsite. While it’s not the preferred choice, at least you will have the information necessary for boarding.
OR
2. You can eliminate the need to upload test results by ordering a testing kit directly from Inspire Diagnostics on the Safe Passage website (only for Guests who live in the U.S.) Each test kit has instructions on how to obtain and submit a test sample. For this option, test kits must be completed and mailed back to Inspire Diagnostics precisely 3 days before the sail date using the prepaid UPS envelope included with the kit. Guests must drop the envelope at an official UPS drop box or a UPS store location. But very important: do NOT use a UPS Access Point for shipment, which are drop boxes located at retail outlets such as a pharmacy, grocery store or gas station. Results will be available 24 to 48 hours from the time the sample is received by Inspire Diagnostics and will be sent to the email address provided during registration on the Safe Passage website.
All these specifics can be found on the
“Before You Leave Home” section of the Experience Updates page on the Disney Cruise Line website. It’s always a good idea to review these rules as they are updated regularly.
Hopefully this helped clarify the steps for you and you are now comfortable about getting those test results in preparation for your Disney cruise. If you think of anything else, please stop by planDisney again. Have a MAGICal vacation!
Happy Sailing!
