Ahoy Harold –
Congratulations on booking your first Disney Cruise! You have so much to look forward to, and your pirate crew will enjoy every moment of their unique vacation experience. One of our first cruises on Disney Cruise Line involved our very own 4-year-old pirate princess and a stop in Cozumel. When we looked for fun excursions in Cozumel for preschool aged children, we had a difficult time since most excursions are age limited due to high physical activity. If your young pirate is good with sightseeing, then I recommend The Atlantis Submarine Expedition or the Ocean View Explorer for tours of ocean life. Our pirate princess was less of a sightseer and more of a mover and shaker.
That's why our pirate crew chose the Cozumel Beach Break and my pirate fairy had an awesome adventure. She discovered treasures in the sandy beach, added some gold doubloons (sea shells) to her treasure trove, made sand castles, and buried her daddy in the sand! We enjoyed the beautiful beach, but in addition, there was a play area for children, ongoing games and youth activities, scavenger hunts, and they even had the kids break a piñata!
The resort where the beach break was held was very family friendly with clean restrooms, changing tables, and a buffet serving fabulous international cuisine. I enjoyed having my own covered lounger and unlimited refreshments. Harold, your young sea pup will enjoy every moment of this excursion and have the cruise of a lifetime. Happy planning to you, and thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
