Hi, Jennifer!
Congratulations on your first Disney cruise this fall -- you're going to wonder why you've never sailed before now!
When cruising in the Bahamas with Disney, you'll stop at Nassau and Castaway Cay. For my vacations, I like to vary the types of
Port Adventures at each port -- especially in the islands. For me, I just don't want every port of call to be a day at the beach. If you've never been to the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island, it's worth the Port Adventure fare to experience this opulent place, see the marine habitat and have fun at the Aquaventure water park. Your daughter will delight in seeing the various marine life at The Dig, and there are three pool/splash areas for little ones. Plus, I love to grab a tube, put one of my little ones in my lap and float down the lazy river until it's time to head back to the ship.
If you decide to get out and see Nassau, there are several touring Port Adventures that give you a great feel for the island and the Bahamian way of life: See and Sea Island Tour, Nassau Fort and Junkanoo Discovery and Ardastra Gardens and City Tour.
Castaway Cay will be your family's time at the beach, and although the beaches at the Atlantis and Blue Lagoon Island are beautiful, they aren't as convenient as you'll experience at Disney's private island where you and your family are the guests of honor! I hope this helps you plan.
Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Let me know what else I can do to help!
Bon voyage,
Andi
