Hi, Amanda!
I'm excited to hear you've booked your first Disney Cruise! Thanks for using the Moms Panel as a planning resource. We're happy to help you make the most of your voyage!
On a Disney Cruise, there's more to see and do than you can imagine! The best advice I can give is for you to relax and enjoy your time onboard. You can do as much or as little as you like! Each day, you'll receive a Personal Navigator - a daily schedule of everything happening on the ship. My family likes to bring along colored highlighters so we can make note of all the "can't miss" activities each day.
You'll also want to check out the Port Adventures available to you - you'll want to book these in advance because popular excursions tend to sell out. You can find the right adventure for you by visiting the
Port Adventure page on the DCL website.Once you choose the port you'll be visiting, you can filter your search by age, activity level, and activity type.
I encourage you to take advantage of the Youth Clubs during your sailing. The clubs, led by energetic Youth Counselors, are the perfect place for your kids to hang out with other cruisers their age while the adults explore the ship, enjoy an adult-exclusive meal or a spa treatment. And - it's included in the price of your cruise!
No need to make dinner reservations each evening - you'll be assigned a dining rotation that allows you to rotate through all of the signature Main Dining rooms during your sailing. Your Dining Team will rotate with you, providing personalized service along the way! If you choose to dine in one of the Adult-Exclusive venues, you will need to make advance reservations on those evenings.
That should give you a good start toward preparing for your cruise! Please let us know if you have further questions as you plan. Have a magical day! - Diane W.
