Hi there, Beth!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited for your family’s inaugural Disney Cruise Line vacation! And you’ll be on a
Halloween on the High Seas sailing which is such a special treat – not only will you have everything Disney Cruise Line has to offer, but you will also have some spooky extra onboard opportunities!
On your final morning onboard, you will have breakfast at a scheduled time in the main dining room or you can grab breakfast from the buffet restaurant, Cabanas. You will then be asked to disembark the ship by 9AM so that the Cast Members can get the ship ready for the new Guests later that afternoon. I definitely think you could make the 12:20PM flight out of MCO without a problem as Disney Cruise Line only recommends that all flights be booked for 11:30AM or later when using their transportation. We always make the earliest possible flight out because after a wonderful vacation, the ending is always bittersweet and the last thing we want to do is sit around the airport waiting for a later flight! Tired, cranky kids (and parents) don’t make a good match for waiting around – at least in my family! Plus, then we get home at a decent hour and I can get my kids to bed at a decent hour!
Your family will have such a great time – make sure you register the Mouseketeers for the
Youth Clubs and arrange for “it’s a small world” nursery! time for your youngest! You can do this when your Online Check In window opens 75 days prior to sailing.
Wishing you many magical memories on this first (of hopefully many) Disney Cruise Line vacations!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
