Hi Robert!
Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Congratulations on booking your inaugural voyage with Captain Mickey and his friends! In just a few weeks, you'll be dancing with your daughter during the Sail-Away Celebration on deck! I can't wait for you to step onboard and see all the magic and fun packed onto each deck!
Your little pirate princess sounds like my kind of girl! Haha! I would say most of the little girls onboard dress differently depending on their plans for the day! For example, if they have a royal transformation at
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, tickets to the Princess Gathering or will be dining with royalty during Royal Court Royal Tea, they often wear princess dresses during and after those events. Most days I see girls dressed in T-shirts, shorts and swimsuits ready to have an adventurous day on and around the ship! If your little pirate princess is most comfortable dressing in shorts and t-shirts during the day and dressing up as her favorite character for dinner, that will be perfect! Captain Mickey wants everyone onboard to be comfortable and have fun!
You will get a Personal Navigator newsletter each evening inside your stateroom that will have the schedule of activities for the following day. This will be a perfect time to sit down with your daughter and see what activities she'll enjoy participating in! She might want to get dressed up in order to match her favorite character who is posing for pictures the following afternoon! After pictures, she can stay dressed up, or head back to your stateroom and change for some adventurous play. Your stateroom will always be a short walk away!
Robert, I'm sending your daughter so many excited, pixie-dusted thoughts for her first Disney Cruise! If you can think of any more questions, please sail back and visit us again!
