We are going on our first Disney Cruise next July on the new ship. If we were to visit the parks before the cruise, how many days would you suggest? This is not our first time to WDW but our first DW Cruise. Thanks!

    Hi, Kristi!

Congratulations on your combined Disney Cruise Line (DCL) and Walt Disney World (WDW) vacation -- a Disney "surf & turf" visit is truly the best of both worlds!

When I recommend a touring plan for WDW parks to my friends and family, I always suggest to incorporate at least four park days since there are four theme parks.  Even if you don't make it to all the parks, it's great to know that you have the time built into your schedule.  Yet, I have adopted the philosophy of my predecessor, Karen -- she actually recommends cruising first, then visiting the parks.  Have you thought about that plan?  Take a look at what Karen had to say about Surf & Turf Disney Vacations.

If you're sailing on the "new" ship next July, you must mean that you'll be on the Disney Fantasy -- which means you'll be in the Caribbean for 7 nights. I think you'll enjoy the pace of the cruise followed by a visit to the parks for a few days, but if you need to run something else by me, just give me a shout out. I'm here to help, and I'd love to be a resource for you.

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
