We are going on our first Disney Cruise in May 2018. We are going to Castaway Cay and Atlantis. My son has autism and are not trilled with life vests. Can we bring our own arm floaties? I have read various blogs about flotation devices and rafts.

    Hi Sarah!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I am so excited for your upcoming Disney Cruise vacation.  You will have a wonderful and exciting time aboard with so many activities, you are certain to make many memories!

You can most certainly bring your son’s arm floaties.  We bring aboard puddle jumpers for our little guys because they are more comfortable with that flotation device than the life vests available onboard.  Disney Cruise Line does prohibit inflatable rafts and pool noodles onboard, but personal flotation devices are perfectly fine to bring aboard!  I suggest packing a day bag with your swim suits and pool gear for Embarkation day for some pool fun as your luggage may not be delivered to your room right away!

When your online activity booking window opens, you can reserve your excursions in Nassau and arrange for any fun extra activities in Castaway Cay.  You can also register your son for the Youth Clubs at that time.  If he is not quite comfortable going, check out the clubs during Open House hours.  Those will be listed on your Daily Navigator and offers fun for all!

I am so thrilled for your upcoming vacation and know that you will have just the BEST time!  It will be here before you know it!

    Happy Sailing!
